These are all curated links that I have gathered from around the web. I am always looking for additional material to study and read, so if you know of a good resource(s) that I could include, please let me know.
BLOGS
Matt D’Aquino’s Beyond Grappling Blog – Matt D’Aquino is a 2008 Olympian in the -60kg category and has put out an astounding amount of material on the net. I particularly like his YouTube Channel for the technique breakdowns. He also puts out a lot of free material, which I appreciate immensely.
Neil Adams’ Effective Judo Blog – If you aren’t familiar with Neil Adams, then please drop whatever you are doing and google his name immediately. Though his blog is a bit light on content, he has some interesting ideas and useful information for judoka of all levels.
Planetjudo – Planet judo is an aggregate of various judo blogs and resources on the internet. It is a good place to go if you want to get all of your judo news conveniently on one page. It is run by long-time internet judo contributor, Lance Wicks, who was kind enough to include this blog over on his page.
Tadahiro Nomura – The only 3-time Olympic gold medalist has another really interesting blog. I know that most of the readers on this page probably do not speak Japanese, but as they say, a picture is worth a thousand words. His old blog was full of pictures and videos of his training during his attempt at making the 2012 Olympics.
WEBSITES
Judo Channel – This is a really good, comprehensive resource of judo terminology and vocabulary. Also, if you don’t mind navigating through their Japanese page, you can find really good videos and highlights of Japanese competitions as well as interviews (all in Japanese, unfortunately).
